This reference is a 240 page collection of photographs taken during and after September 11, 2001 of New York City's 70 affected firehouses. The compilation of 50 photographers shows a range of styles but all are representing the firemen and their loss in a more uplifting way - not showing all the destruction and victims, rather the interaction of the men during and after.
Obviously the subject matter is much different than what I am working with, but I wish to acquire a similar style these photographers were using and capture a similar sense of and take on brotherhood as they did.
